My journey began with an Architectural Technology degree from the University of Toledo, where I studied architectural history and drafting. This foundation has enriched my glass work, further honed through classes with Ruth Mahoney at the “Glass Place” in Pittsburgh. After applying my architectural drafting skills professionally, I dedicated time to family, community service, and exploring various art forms before finding my niche in fused glass art. I am inspired by nature, my environment, my experiences traveling, other artists in fused glass and other media. I am also inspired by my faith and have brought it into my glass work. Each piece is handmade by me with raw materials. Every piece is unique due to the variances in the glass and the kiln. - Christine Vazquez
